How I handle the details you send me

This is the privacy policy for dianesbookeeping.com, the website of Diane’s Bookkeeping Services, LLC. It covers what the site collects, who sees it, and what you can do about it. It took effect on October 5, 2026.

The short version

  • The form needs your name and phone number so I can call you back. Everything else on it is optional.
  • I use what you send to talk with you about your books. I don’t sell it or rent it to anyone.
  • The site counts visits with Google Analytics. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, it doesn’t load at all.
  • Ask me and I’ll delete what you sent.

What the site collects

When you fill out a form

Every form asks for your name and phone number. Depending on the form, you can also give me your email address, the service you need, how far behind your books are, who’s waiting on them, your industry, who referred you, and a message. With that, the site records the page you sent it from, the time, and the browser you used.

To keep spam out, the forms use Cloudflare’s Turnstile check, which sends your IP address to Cloudflare. If a submission gets stopped as spam, the site’s server log keeps the IP address it came from, but not what was typed.

When you browse

Google Analytics records the pages you look at, how you got here (a search, a link, or typing the address), your device and browser, and your rough location, at about the city level. Google says Analytics doesn’t log or store IP addresses. It never gets your name, phone number, email, or the words you type into a form. The most it learns about a form is which answer you picked from a list, like how far behind your books are.

When you call or email me

Whatever you choose to tell me, the same as any call or email to a business.

How I use it

  • To call you back, answer your questions, and give you a price.
  • If you hire me, to do the work and keep the records that go with it.
  • To see which pages help people and which don’t, so I can make the site better.
  • To keep spam and abuse off the site.

I don’t sell or rent your information, and I don’t share it for anyone else’s advertising.

Who else sees it

A few companies help run this website. Each one handles your information only to do its part:

  • EMOR AI, the agency that built and maintains this site, gets a copy of every form request. That’s how they make sure the form is working and keep a record of the requests the site brings in.
  • Vercel hosts the site, keeps a private copy of each request, and holds the server log.
  • Google delivers the email that brings your request to me, runs Google Analytics, shows the maps on some pages, and runs the booking calendar on the free-call page.
  • Cloudflare runs the spam check on the forms.

Past that, your information goes to someone else only if you ask me to send it, like your year-end package going to your CPA, or if the law requires it.

Cookies and what’s stored in your browser

Here’s everything this site keeps in your browser:

WhatWhyHow long
Google Analytics cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an IDTell one visit from another so each visitor is counted onceUp to two years
Google’s own cookies, on pages with a map or the booking calendarThe map on the About, Contact, and town pages comes from Google Maps, and the calendar on the free-call page comes from Google Calendar once you open it. Google can set its own cookies when either one loadsSet by Google, under Google’s cookie policy
A copy of what you typed into a form, in your browser tabSo nothing’s lost if a send fails and you have to try againUntil the form sends, or you close the tab

Cloudflare’s spam check doesn’t set any cookies. None of the rest is used for advertising: Google signals and ad personalization are turned off in this site’s Analytics setup, so visits here aren’t used to target ads at you. Google can still connect what it sees here with what it sees on other sites that use its services, and explains that in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your choices

  • Turn analytics off. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, this site doesn’t load Google Analytics at all, so no analytics cookie is set. You can also install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on or block cookies in your browser. The site works the same either way.
  • See, fix, or delete what you sent. Call or email me and I’ll tell you what I have, correct it, or delete it, and EMOR AI will delete the copies the website keeps. If you’re a client, I’ll keep the records I need for the work you’ve hired me to do.

How long it’s kept

Form requests are kept as my record of who asked for a call, until you ask me to delete yours. The server log is kept for a limited time and then deleted by the host. Google Analytics deletes visit data after the retention period set in the account.

Keeping it safe

The whole site runs over an encrypted connection. Form requests are stored privately, never on a public page, and only EMOR AI’s team and I can open them. No website is perfectly secure, though, so please don’t send bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or passwords through a form. If we work together, I’ll tell you how to share documents with me.

Children

This site is for business owners. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
