Accurate, detailed and personable; three of many qualities that Diane brings to the table every single day. There is no one I would trust more than Diane with my bookkeeping.

Republic is the fastest-growing city in the metro by percentage, and it looks the part. The Amazon fulfillment center is now the city’s largest employer, Convoy of Hope runs its distribution center here, and new subdivisions and commercial buildings are coming out of the ground on every side of town. Republic is also my closest sizable suburb, about 25 minutes from my office in Ash Grove, so it’s a town I drive through more weeks than not.
I’m Diane Jones. I’ve kept books for more than 30 years, over 20 of them as an accounting manager, and I hold Intuit’s Gold Tier ProAdvisor certification for QuickBooks Online. Most of my work happens over Zoom, the same way I work with clients in other states, which suits owners who spend more time on a job site than at a desk.
Somebody has to build all this
Local crews are building most of it: builders, concrete crews, framers, electricians, and excavators. Construction books come with their own headaches. Draws arrive in lumps, subs need 1099s, and a job can look profitable until you add up what it actually cost. I set up job costing in QuickBooks Online so you can see what each job really made, reconcile the accounts every month, and prepare and e-file your 1099s each January. My contractor bookkeeping page walks through the whole setup.
Starting fresh in a town full of new businesses
A fast-growing town brings new storefronts, new franchises, and first-time owners, and plenty of them are opening QuickBooks for the first time. I build the file right from day one: a chart of accounts that fits your business, bank feeds connected and behaving, and a monthly routine so the books never fall behind. If you already have a file that got away from you, a QuickBooks cleanup comes with a fixed quote in writing after a free review. If it’s been more than a year, those rebuilds are the work I want most.
Plain pricing, in writing first
Monthly bookkeeping is a flat fee that fits an average month of transactions, quoted in writing after a free call. Cleanup projects get a fixed quote the same way, so you know the number before I start. The pricing page explains what moves the number, and you can book online in about a minute.
A Form 990 on extension is due November 16, 2026. Your CPA needs reconciled, fund-level books to finish it, and that's the part I do.
Filed an extension for 2025? Those returns are due October 15, 2026. Your CPA needs a reconciled 2025 file before then, and the sooner I see it the more room we both have.
1099s for your subs and vendors are due February 1, 2027, and they're built from a full year of entered payments. If 2026 is behind, the last weeks of the year are the time to catch it up.
1099s for your subs and vendors are due February 1, 2027, the same day your payroll provider sends W-2s. If the 2026 books aren't entered yet, that's the first thing I'd fix.
S corporation and partnership returns are due March 15, 2027. Your CPA needs a reconciled 2026 file to file on time.
Individual returns are due April 15, 2027. A reconciled 2026 file is what your CPA needs to file, or to file the extension with real numbers.

Accurate, conscientious, honest and punctual, definitely takes great pride in her work.
Where Republic sits from my desk
Republic is about 25 minutes from Ash Grove, nearly straight south. Most of my work happens in QuickBooks Online and over Zoom, so the drive rarely matters. When an in-person visit helps, it’s an easy trip.
