Willard sits about 15 minutes from my door, right on the way into Springfield, which makes it about the easiest trip on my map. It’s a bedroom community with strong schools, farm roots that still show at the edge of town, and a business scene built mostly of one-truck trades, home-based operations, and people who work in Springfield and run something of their own on the side. I’ve kept books for more than 30 years, plenty of them for businesses about that size.

I’m Diane Jones, a Gold Tier QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor one town over in Ash Grove. Monthly bookkeeping is a flat fee quoted in writing. Most of the work happens in QuickBooks Online and over Zoom, the same way I work with clients in other states, and with Willard I really can stop by when it helps.

One truck, one crew, real books

A lot of Willard’s builders, plumbers, electricians, mowing outfits, and handymen run the whole company from the cab of a truck, and the receipts pile up in the console. I take that pile off your hands: transactions categorized, accounts reconciled, 1099s for your subs prepared and e-filed, and job costing set up so you can see which work pays. My contractor bookkeeping page explains how I set it up.

Home-based and self-employed

Plenty of Willard businesses run from a kitchen table or a shop out back, and when the whole company is you, the books still matter every April. Self-employed bookkeeping keeps business and personal money separated and your accounts reconciled, and your CPA gets a clean, tax-ready file at year-end. There’s more on my self-employed bookkeeping page.

Getting started is simple

Book a free 30-minute call. I’ll look at your QuickBooks file, or hear how you’re keeping things now, and show you what I find in it. Once I’ve seen the file, you get a fixed price in writing before I touch anything, and the pricing page explains how I build that quote. I'll call you back within 15 to 20 minutes during the day.

Where Willard sits from my desk

Willard is about 15 minutes from my office, right on the way into Springfield. Most of my work happens in QuickBooks Online and over Zoom, so the drive rarely matters. When an in-person visit helps, it’s an easy trip.

Questions

Questions from Willard business owners

Will you actually come out to Willard?
Happily. Willard is about 15 minutes from my office in Ash Grove, right on my way into Springfield, so it’s the easiest in-person visit on my map. Most months we still handle the routine work in QuickBooks Online and over Zoom because it’s faster for both of us.
I run my business from my kitchen table. Is that too small for a bookkeeper?
Not at all. My self-employed bookkeeping was built for one-person businesses, and it keeps business and personal spending separated so tax time stays calm.
My spouse has been doing the books after hours. Can you take over without starting from scratch?
Usually, yes. I start with a free review of your QuickBooks file, keep what’s working, and fix what’s behind or miscategorized, with a fixed quote in writing up front. Nobody gets a lecture, least of all the spouse who kept it going this long.
