Brookline sits just west of Springfield off I-44, folded in next to Republic, with the metro’s industrial and warehouse parks right up the road. It’s a working town: contractors, freight outfits, and service companies that work in Springfield and park the trucks at home.
I’m Diane Jones, a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor in Ash Grove, about 25 minutes up the road.
Contractor books with job costing built in
Materials and sub invoices for four different jobs can all land in one account, and at the end nobody can tell which job paid. My contractor bookkeeping sets up job costing in QuickBooks Online so labor, materials, and subs get tied to the project they belong to, and the monthly reports show which jobs made money. Sub payments get tracked all year, and the 1099s go out e-filed in January. The monthly fee is flat, and you get the price in writing first.
Service businesses working the parks and the metro
For cleaning crews, maintenance outfits, haulers, and the other service businesses working around the parks, the job is keeping fast money organized. Merchant deposits reconciled, fuel and equipment costs categorized, a Profit and Loss that reads clearly. It starts with a free 30-minute call. I look at your file, walk you through what’s reconciled and what isn’t, and quote a fixed price, whether that’s monthly service or a one-time cleanup. I’ll call you back within 15 to 20 minutes during the day, every time.
A Form 990 on extension is due November 16, 2026. Your CPA needs reconciled, fund-level books to finish it, and that's the part I do.
Filed an extension for 2025? Those returns are due October 15, 2026. Your CPA needs a reconciled 2025 file before then, and the sooner I see it the more room we both have.
1099s for your subs and vendors are due February 1, 2027, and they're built from a full year of entered payments. If 2026 is behind, the last weeks of the year are the time to catch it up.
1099s for your subs and vendors are due February 1, 2027, the same day your payroll provider sends W-2s. If the 2026 books aren't entered yet, that's the first thing I'd fix.
S corporation and partnership returns are due March 15, 2027. Your CPA needs a reconciled 2026 file to file on time.
Individual returns are due April 15, 2027. A reconciled 2026 file is what your CPA needs to file, or to file the extension with real numbers.

Where Brookline sits from my desk
Brookline is about 25 minutes from Ash Grove, just west of Springfield off I-44. Most of my work happens in QuickBooks Online and over Zoom, so the drive rarely matters. When an in-person visit helps, it’s an easy trip.
